Beginning and ending sounds are typically the first sounds that kids can identify in words. Because my preschooler enjoyed our beginning sound worksheets so much, I decided to make some Write the Ending Sound Worksheets for her. {And you get to have them, too!}
If you like educational apps, you may enjoy our Alphabet Sounds App or Trace It, Try It App. Both apps have games and activities for letter sounds and letter formation.

Write the Ending Sound Worksheets
These pages are NO PREP, just like our newly updated Print & Play Alphabet Sounds Games.
I love that they cover so many literacy skills. With these simple pages, kids can practice:
1- Phonemic Awareness – by listening and isolating just the final sound in the word {read more about phonemic awareness}
2- Phonics – by associating the find sound they hear with a letter
3- Handwriting – by writing the ending sound in each word
Just like with our beginning sounds worksheets, my daughter got so excited to see these pages. And once again, I used them more for exposure and enjoyment than full-fledged handwriting practice.
If you want to use them more for correct handwriting practice, you may enjoy Level 1, which has the ending letter provided as support. You might also like our free Trace It, Try It Handwriting Pages.
Want More Hands-On Alphabet Activities?
While a worksheet can be nice for review or if your child shows a particular interest, I do prefer more hands-on ways for teaching the alphabet.
All the free ABC packs from Learning the Alphabet are very hands-on. That means more prep time for you, but I think it’s well worth it!
The Measured Mom has an amazing resource, The ABC’s of Preschool, that has tons of hands-on learning ideas for ALL kinds of learners!
Our newly updated Print & Play Alphabet Sounds Games are more interactive AND they’re no prep! Woohoo!
Enjoy!

I am not seeing a “teal download button” for these worksheets or the middle sound worksheets. Am I missing something? Thanks.
