Reading the Alphabet Giveaway: THREE Winners!

Reading the Alphabet Giveaway - THREE Winners! | This Reading Mama

The school year is about to begin (if you haven’t already begun). This year, I want you to start off well SO…I am hosting a Reading the Alphabet Bundle Pack Giveaway. THREE WINNERS will win an entire year’s worth of activities {31 weeks total} from my preschool curriculum, Reading the Alphabet.

  • You can read more about the FREE version of Reading the Alphabet HERE.
  • The Bundle Pack has several printables and activities you won’t find anywhere else. You can read about those HERE.

Is Your Child Ready for Reading the Alphabet?

I am a firm believer than reading is developmental. So Reading the Alphabet is not for every preschooler. You will know your child is ready for it if she knows her letters and most letter sounds. If you’re not sure what your child knows, I demonstrate how to assess your child with a puzzle in this post. Reading the Alphabet reviews letters and letter sounds, while teaching the child beginning sight words (at a slow pace), rhyming words, syllable counting, and more. If your child has used any of my Pre-K/K packs with success, she is probably ready for Reading the Alphabet.

What if my Child Doesn’t Know Letter Sounds?

If your child does not know many of her letter sounds, you can totally adapt Reading the Alphabet. Each week has several activities that can be used to teach your child her letter sounds (such as the Letter Picture Cards, Cut and Paste Pattern Cards, and 20-Grids). You can also use the rhyming activities and syllable activities. And if you don’t use all the pieces, you can save the other activities for when she is ready!

Picture and Letter Card Pack Subscriber Freebie - 300

If you’d like the Letter Picture Cards as one download, which I think is quite handy when teaching letters and their sounds, I have compiled them all for you! Just subscribe to my Weekly Newsletter and you will receive this Letter Pack AND other past subscriber freebies.

I like how it enables the letter of week approach and still encompasses teaching the child to read. Seems like I could easily incorporate this in to my existing curriculum

My son just turned three last week. He already knows his letters and about 75% of his sounds. I love that it will challenge him with his reading, but isn’t heavy on writing. His fine motor skills are not matching up with his reading skills yet.

I found your website by searching for books on spelling strategies on Amazon and then reading the sample of Teaching Kids to Spell. I have 4 kids who have homeschooled from the beginning and the two oldest (11 and 9) have struggled to read and spell. Reading is finally getting easier but they are both spelling on a 1st grade level. I have spent the summer researching spelling strategies and have many new things to try with them and I am looking forward to reading your book as well as How To Choose “Just Right” Books. Thanks for the resources!
My youngest is almost 2 and I am looking forward to pre-school work with her. She already loves singing the alphabet. Thanks for the chance!
