Rainbow Write: Roll & Write Sight Words

My Kindergartner finished Reading the Alphabet right before Christmas break. It took us a school year and a half to go through it mainly because I was following her pace.

Now, I’m writing a using a new curriculum with her called Learn to Read. The readers and a few activities from Learn to Read have the review sight words from Reading the Alphabet. A couple of times now, she has forgotten a review word.

I decided to create a few Rainbow Roll & Write pages, like the ones she enjoys from our new curriculum, for those review words that were a bit trickier for her. Then, I thought it might be fun to create and share a roll & write page for all 26 sight words from Reading the Alphabet. So, I did!

Included in the FREE sets are 2 levels of rainbow write pages.

Rainbow Write pages - level 1 - aligned with Reading the Alphabet

LEVEL 1– A set that’s aligned with Reading the Alphabet. Lesson numbers are included on the bottom of each page.

Level 1 Rainbow Write - with star and arrow for letter formation

The first level has a star AND directional arrow to show kids how to start writing their letters, like the handwriting pages from the bundle pack of Reading the Alphabet.

Rainbow Write - Roll and Write review sight words from Reading the Alphabet - little

LEVEL 2- A set that works well if you’re using Learn to Read to help your child/student review any of the 26 sight words from Reading the Alphabet. This set just has the star for the starting place, like you find in the rest of the free Rainbow Roll & Write sight word pages of Learn to Read {within each lesson’s pack}.

What a fun way to practice sight words. Do you plan on adding any other sight words packets? Say pre-primer, primer etc. Thanks for sharing.

    Hi
The students in my class loved this today but I have some other words I’d like to target.
    Are there any more available?
    Thanks for sharing.

Is there a level 1 and 2? They seem to be the same when I download

The words are the same. Level 1 just offers more support with the stars AND arrows, while level 2 has just the stars.
