By thisreadingmama 9 Comments

I created a Short o / Long o Vowel Pack for ALuv (end of Kindergarten) with similar activities like in our Short a / Long a Vowel Pack and Short i / Long i Vowel Pack. Today, I’m sharing it for FREE {download link at the end of this post}.

FREE Long o Vowel Pack - This Reading Mama

Long o Vowel Pack

1. Word Sort (similar to sorts from Words Their Way), where the student can sort words by short o/long o patterns or match pairs (tot/tote)

2. Matching Pictures and Words (2 pgs on download)

3. Flip A Word–add the silent e to change short o words to long o words, draw a picture to accompany each long o word

4. What’s the Missing Word?-Read the sentence and fill in the word that makes sense

5. Write a Word-I use this one as an assessment tool.

Thank you for the freebies! Love the short vowel/long vowel packs. I did not see short/long u or short/long e.

Hello! Thank you so much for these activities. I have been using them with my Korean tutoring student and they help a lot with his reading skills. Do you have a long u vowel pack? Not sure if I missed it somewhere or if it’s in your store. Either way I would buy it for sure if you did 🙂 Thanks again for all that you share!
