Free Printable Coloring Pages for Christmas

In our home, we go through a lot of coloring pages. Although I’ve never been one to push coloring, my 4 year old and Kindergartner LOVE to do it. This year, I’ve created some free printable coloring pages for Christmas, similar to our Summer Coloring Pages and Fall/Thanksgiving Coloring Pages, specifically for my 4 year old. Free Printable Coloring Pages: Color by Letter

These printable coloring pages aren’t just coloring pages for the sake of coloring. They also work on letter recognition for both upper and lowercase letters.

They are also the perfect way to accompany a read aloud for younger children. I have found that if I give my younger ones a simple and quiet task, such as coloring, they are more willing to listen as I read. This has been a life saver in our home, as many of our read alouds consist of chapter books or books with longer text.

 

In the free printable coloring pages pack, you’ll find 6 different Christmas-themed pages. There are Christmas trees, presents, Santa Claus, the Nativity scene and stockings.

 

There are also two versions: color version for younger children who are not ready to read color words and a black and white version for kids who can read the color words. If you’d rather print the black and white version to save on ink, just take a crayon and quickly underline the color words to make it easier for younger kids.
