We’re having a couple of snow days and I just had to make some Compound Word Snowmen with this snowman clip art. After all, snowman is a compound word. 🙂
And one of my favorite parts is that you can type your own words on the editable pages! {See below in the post for more details.}

Compound Word Snowmen {Editable}
Work on reading compound words with these cute snowmen puzzles. Cut out with scissors or a paper cutter. Either way, they are designed to keep prep time at a minimal. If you want them to be durable, go ahead and laminate them.
Here are some easy ways to differentiate these compound word puzzlers.
1. Easier Version: Place the top part of each puzzle down for learners to read each word part. Match the compound words to the top part.
2. Harder Version: Place the bottom parts of each puzzle down for learners to read the compound word. Match the top of the snowman to the bottom part.
Extend it! Learners can choose 6 puzzles to write on the recording sheet PLUS learners can illustrate words on the back!
Differentiate for ALL your learners with these EDITABLE snowmen! 20 puzzles are included so you can create your own snowmen for ANY kind of 2-syllable word. {Example: final stable syllables}
An extra recording page is also included in case you use other 2-syllable words on your editable snowmen.
Check out our syllable types post for more two-syllable word ideas!
Enjoy teaching!
