Reading the Alphabet Letter L

We had sort of a rough week last week at home. This super tired mama just needed a break, so we didn’t get to every activity within the pack.

L is for Lincoln LogsNJoy did a lot of playing with our Letter L manipulatives, which he didn’t complain about one bit. 😉

Here are a few shots of some of the activities we did do together:

20 Grid with Letter L and LEGOSOne of his favorites this week was the 20 Grid with the letter L…placing LEGOS on each square as he rolled his die.

He has recently found a love for coloring and asked me to print off a black and white copy of the L Book for him (after I’d already printed off the color one).

After working with ALuv, I found him coloring…I was impressed to say the least!  If you can’t tell, he’s trying to color match as he colors.  This, from a child who, a year ago would only color if I bribed him!

L is for Lion, free tracing pageAnd again, he enjoyed all of his pages that I inserted into his Handwriting Notebook, including this L is for Lion Tracing page.

I had to include this shot of MBug at 2.5 years. She looks so old! 🙁  Within the last month or so, I am beginning to see her transition into a little girl, leaving the baby behind. MBug likes to also do the work that I prepare for NJoy, with modifications.

As we work through our letters, I’m also focusing on a book/print awareness skill.  We discussed lower case letters as we read together to review the letter L.

Hi, Thanks so much for these! My LO and students love working through these. Just wanted to let you know there was no B/W L book in the zip file.
