If you’re looking for alphabet activities or resources for your eager or not-so-eager learners, you’ll find creative, hands-on alphabet activities and printables at This Reading Mama!
On this resource page, you won’t find a one-size-fits all philosophy for teaching the alphabet. If you’ve taught or parented for very long, you know that all children are different.
Some learners seem to figure out the code early and know their letters and letter sounds by age 3. Other learners might not want anything to do with learning their alphabet and every attempt to teach them can become a battle.
My advice always is to follow the lead of the child. This is especially true with very young learners. Following their lead may mean just integrating the alphabet into their every day life and routine. It could also mean making it fun and game-like.
No matter how you teach it, you’ll find alphabet resources here just for you! Below are some quick links to some alphabet articles I’ve written.
