FREE Printable Scavenger Hunts

These free printable scavenger hunts can be done inside and outside around your house. There will be scavenger hunts for everything from rhyming, math, phonics, geography, reading, and grammar.

My purpose in creating these is simple and fun. You will not need to purchase any special supplies. The only tools you mostly need are a clipboard {or a hard surface to write on} and a writing utensil.

My goal is to post one new free pack a week. A picture of each pack will be added to an image gallery at the bottom of this post so you can find the post and download the freebies.

Scavenger Hunt Topics for Each Week:

Week 1- Rhyming Scavenger Hunts – Learners must find things that RHYME with the pictures on their board. For example, ball or wall

Week 2- Letter Sounds Scavenger Hunts – Learners find things around the house that START WITH the same letter as those things pictured on their boards.

Week 3- Number Scavenger Hunts – Hunts for number concepts like counting, numbers, and addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions

Week 4- Math Scavenger Hunts – These math hunts will be for 2D shapes, 3D shapes, measurement skills, and telling time.

Week 5– Outdoor Scavenger Hunts – Think backyard hunts, neighborhood scavenger hunts, and some fun nighttime hunts.

Week 6- Geography Scavenger Hunts – Learners must use a world map, state map, and map of the USA to find things. Don’t have a map? Look at online maps!

Week 7- Blends & Digraphs Scavenger Hunts  – Hunts for blends and digraphs in words.

Week 8- Vowel Scavenger Hunts – Hunts for short vowels and long vowels – Learners must find words that have the same vowel sound as those on their board.

Week 9- Book Scavenger Hunts – Scavenger hunts for concept of print and comprehension with fiction and nonfiction texts.

Week 10- Punctuation & Grammar Scavenger Hunts – Hunts for things like punctuation and parts of speech.

I am the grandmother of a 5 year old very active little boy! His mother, my oldest daughter, my youngest daughter and I will be working together to try to cover his learning needs, while his school is closed due to Covid-19. These ideas are so exciting! Thank you for helping us so much! You are awesome!
