Magic e Spelling Pages {Write the Rhyme}

By thisreadingmama 2 Comments

These magic e spelling pages are a great way to integrate rhyming and spelling. When words rhyme, they often share a spelling pattern. This is great for beginning readers and spellers to recognize. That’s one of the reasons I created these Magic e Write the Rhyme Spelling Pages {FREE}!

*The free download can be found towards the END of this post. Just click on the teal, download button.

Magic e Spelling Pages {free} - Write the Rhyme - This Reading Mama

Magic e Spelling Pages

These spelling pages are NO PREP {like my Short Vowel Write the Rhyme Pages and Long Vowel Team Pages} and a great way to help kids see the connection between rhyming and spelling.

Included in the download are 6 different write the rhyme pages for CVCe/CCVCe words. You’ll find one for each of these CVCe patterns: a_e, i_e, o_e, and u_e. There are also two mixed review pages that include all four CVCe vowels.

Learners simply identify the pictures {picture keys are provided} and then find the word that rhymes in the word bank. They write that word in the space above.

Of course, coloring is optional, but my 1st grader can’t do them without it! 🙂
