My first grader has been learning about 3D shapes in math. I must admit that teaching 3D shapes is one of my favorite units to teach because it’s so easy to make it hands-on. All you need are some shapes and you’re ready explore!

Don’t have 3D shapes? I highly recommend these. You can also collect small objects from your classroom or house that are these shapes and use those with your learners. But the point remains – your learners NEED to touch and feel to make learning 3D shapes fun and engaging!
