Editable Summer Word Games
Five different editable word games are included {with two variations for the word maze}. Ideas are also included for each word game, too! Here’s a sneak peek at what’s inside:
1a. Word Maze for Sight Words: Learners follow a featured sight word through the maze from start to finish.
1b. Word Maze for Phonics Words- Learners follow a featured phonics pattern or phonics sound through the maze from start to finish.
Games 2-5 below can be use for focused sight word work, phonics work, or mixed review with any kind of word.
2. Take a Dive Word Game – For 1-2 players. Similar to our Print & Play Phonics Games from three summers ago.
3. Roll & Race Word Game – For 1 player. Just roll the die and read the words. These are similar to our Roll & Race K-2 Math Games.
4. Ice Pop Bump! – For 2 players. Learners roll two dice, read, and bump. This game also integrates addition skills, too!
5. Reading Road Trip – For 1-2 players. Just roll and read while you take a summer road trip to the beach.
*Psst! While these work best for word games, you can also enter numbers or number problems into the editable fields to create summer math games, too! Just remember that the directions on the page will be related to reading words instead of working math problems.

Enjoy teaching!
