Create Your Own Bible Comics
Encourage your learners to engage with God’s Word by drawing out Biblical accounts in comic book style! Fun!
Please Note: By “comic,” I do NOT mean learners should draw something funny based off something silly from the Bible. Learners will be drawing and sketching about real people and events from Scripture.
One powerful way readers stay engaged with what they’re reading is to visualize it (a.k.a. making mental images). Making mental images helps us to interact with the words on the page in a way that keeps us locked in. Making mental images help us understand and retain what we read.
If your kids are anything like three of mine, they like to sketch and draw; so why not get them sketching and drawing about God’s Word?

In this free pack, you’ll find comic book pages for people and accounts from the Old Testament and the New Testament. You’ll also find four open-ended comic pages for learners to choose their own person or account.
I’ve said this before, but I believe it bears repeating:
When teaching kids about the Bible, I prefer not to use the terms “Bible character” or “Bible story.” Instead, I use “person/people in the Bible” or “Bible event” or “Biblical account.” Avoiding “character” or “story” can help prevent confusion over the historicity of the people, places, and events of the Bible.
I hope this free pack will be something you can download and use with the kiddos you teach at church or your own kids at home.
