Animal Lowercase Letter Posters
If there’s one thing that’s tricky for young writers, it’s understanding how letters are supposed to fit on that lined paper!
I’ve worked with young writers long enough to know that this is a learned skill. But these fun lowercase letter posters are perfect for helping learners understand how to generally {not specifically} form their letters.
In this sample pack, you’ll find color and blackline lowercase letter posters for:
1. Alligator Letters – these letters are short and fit UNDER the dotted line
2. Giraffe Letters – these letters are TALL and stretch all the way to the TOP line
3. Cat Letters – these letters have tails that hang BELOW the bottom line
Hang the posters near a writing center or your learner’s desk to help young writers remember what kind of “animal” each letter is. Each poster has the kind of letter, a visual representation on the lined paper, and the lowercase letters that fit that category.

Alphabet Animal Handwriting Pages
I do feel learners also need to be taught specific handwriting skills for each letter. And that’s what my Animal Alphabet Handwriting Pages Pack is for! If you’re interested in the entire pack {I’m using it with my Kindergartner this year}, these are just a couple of things found in it:
I love how our simple, folding letter formation book turned out! It makes the posters portable. So if we are writing in the kitchen, it’s handy for her to see! {Lowercase z is missing in these pictures but has been added to the Alligator Letters.}
She loves a challenge! So, I created the letter pages as a challenge. How small can you write it? Each time the learner is asked to write the letters, they get smaller. The pack includes pages for both uppercase letters and lowercase letters.
Use pencil and paper OR slip into a plastic sleeve protector and use dry erase marker to make them reusable. Reusable pages would be perfect for a handwriting/writing center!

Do you have these posters available for cursive letters?
I have them in this pack–> https://thisreadingmama.com/product/lowercase-cursive-handwriting-pages/
Would you mind telling me what font you used on the handwriting sheet please. I looked through the KG Fonts catalog but couldn’t find it there. Much appreciated. Debbie
