FREE Christmas Picture Sort (with r-blends)

I’ve got another seasonal sort for you today!   This one works on r-blends, specifically pr, tr, cr, and dr at the beginning of words.  It is a picture sort (instead of word sort) and asks the child to focus on listening for the beginning blends in the words, also known as phonemic awareness.

It’s called Presents Under the Tree and here’s what is on the FREE download:

4 Christmas trees: pr, tr, cr, & dr

20 picture cards (5 of each blend).  The last page includes a picture key.

Once the present picture cards are cut apart, use them to say each picture’s name and sort the present under the correct r-blend Christmas tree.
