Watercolor Alphabet Sound Chart
Alphabet sounds charts are a great resource for young readers and writers.
Learners can use them as they are reading if they get stuck on a letter sound and need to remember it. Learners can also use the chart when they are spelling a word and need to remember the letter that respresents and sound in a word.
I love the fun and colorful chart…perfect for summertime or anytime, really.
This is a very simple and clean chart, perfect for young learners who aren’t ready to learn all the sounds of the vowels just yet. Each vowel features the SHORT sound only* with Aa=apple, Ee=elephant, and so on. {Note: If I had a different picture for Ee, I would have included something like “Ed” or “edge,” but I had to go with what I could find.}
*Short vowel spellings are the most consistent, and are the best place to begin when teaching vowel sound spellings to little ones.
