The Garden to the Cross Timeline

As learners read and/or listen to the timeline of Jesus from praying in the garden until He is crucified, they can take notes in the boxes. Because you won’t get the entire timeline in just one Gospel, this timeline helps learners understand the order of what happened to Jesus by using all four Gospels as provided by in T.W. Hunt’s book, The Mind of Christ {using the chapter, “Crucifed”}.

I recommend taking it slow. Read the passages as if you’re reading them for the first time, being diligent to pay attention to the details.

Two quick notes:

1- You can complete the printable timeline without The Mind of Christ by simply reading the Scripture passages in each box on the timeline.

2- Hunt’s book has commentary about the timeline as well as gruesome details about Jesus’s physical condition throughout. Hunt has an absolutely incredible list of resources if you want more to help you understand what Jesus would have physically gone through including the JAMA article, “On the Physical Death of Jesus.”

I would recommend pre-reading Hunt’s chapter, “Crucified,” before you decide if you’ll read it to your own children. Personally, I waited until my own kids were in upper middle school and high school before we used it.

A color version and blackline version are both included in this pack. If you want the info on just one page, I recommend printing on the short edge to print front to back.
