NO PREP Greek Roots & Latin Stems Games
Use these NO PREP games to help learners practice recognizing and reading words with Greek roots and Latin Stems. Two games are included, one for Greek roots and one for Latin Stems. Each page features six roots or stems.
This is a free sample from the pack in The Library and in my shop. Keep scrolling down to snag the free samples.
The Greek roots included are: astr, chron, graph, tele, meter, and photo.
The Latin stems included are: aud, ject, mal, tract, dict, and port.
After playing the games, learners are encouraged to write the meaning of the roots or stems on the back of the page. It may help to have a discussion about each word so that the meaning can be deduced.

The goal is to get five in a row. Players roll a die and match it to the word element up at the top right-hand side of the page. They then find a word on the board with the word element and read it.
These games can be single player games OR 2-player games. To make them into 2-player games, one player chooses one color math counter to cover their spaces, and the other player chooses a different color math counter. Ahead of time, decide if learners can remove another player’s counter if they need that space.
