Download this FREE Giving Thanks ABC Chart to use especially with older learners. It’s a great companion to our Thanksgiving Journal for younger kids.
This year has been a rough one on everyone {understatement of the year}. That’s why I think there’s even more power in thankfulness this year!

Giving Thanks ABC Chart
One of the things that I have repeated to myself constantly this year is, “You can always find something to be thankful for.”
And it’s true. No matter how stinky-doo the situation seems, there’s always something you can find to give thanks for. It is a discipline, and it takes practice. But it’s true.
This year especially, it’s good to take some time amid all the craziness of everything, I encourage you to take some time with your own kids or your learners to give thanks.
For me, I give thanks to my Father Above who gives me life and breath everyday.
Quite a few years ago, I shared an ABC Thanksgiving Journal for younger kids, but I thought this year, I’d share a simple chart older kids could use.
With either resource, start TODAY and spend some time each day thinking of something you can be thankful for that starts with the letter. This year {2020}, this chart will end on Thanksgiving Day, so it’s a perfect match if you do it everyday.
If you want to do it with your learners/children every day instead of giving all of them their own to do, you can.
You could also wait until Thanksgiving Day and see if you can fill out the entire chart at the Thanksgiving table with your family. I think, however, there’s something about doing it every day to build a good habit of giving thanks! 🙂
