This week, 2 Teaching Mommies inspired me to do some rain/rainbow activities with NJoy. I’ve created a few rainbow/color word printables for us to use and thought I’d post them early. 🙂
Once we get into our unit, I may have more printables to download. I’m kind of flying by the seat of my pants this week with our schoolwork as I’m adjusting to life with 4 little ones.
1. Do-a-Dot Color Spelling: (This is the 2nd page of the download)
You need this do-a-dot paint set for this activity. I got mine at a local craft store with a 40% off coupon.
2. Rainbow Print Awareness (see yesterday’s post for more about print awareness)
3. Rainbow Drawing and Spelling(3 different versions on download-we used letter stickers from Target’s $1 bin)
4. Color Me Different: We’re going to use this one in combination with Elmer; since he was different than all the other elephants. (Side note: I never considered Elmer before in my rain/rainbow unit, but as I re-read it just the other day, I realized he’s an elephant of many colors and it does rain in the book. So there you have it!)
I hope you enjoy! If you haven’t already joined me by subscribing by RSS Feed, Facebook, Twitter, or email, I would love to have you join This Reading Mama. Thanks and God bless!
