Christmas Syllable Counting Dot Pages
The ability to count syllables is a skill that helps kids get ready to read and spell. Generally speaking, longer words have more syllables and shorter words have less syllables.
So, being able to hear the number of syllables in a word increases word length awareness. As kids begin to do more spelling, the ability to hear syllables also affects the spelling patterns in words.
