Fall is here, and it seems that Halloween candy is everywhere! I often go to the grocery store with my toddler and preschooler; and the entire aisles full of candy are hard to avoid. I always try to come up with hands-on educational activities that use everyday objects and foods, like these candy corn preschool activities. When my kids are having fun, learning becomes effortless.
Today, I would like to share with you these hands-on free printables and candy corn activities for preschoolers. I hope your kids enjoy them as much as mine did!
Candy Corn Preschool Activities and Printables
Using candy corn as a manipulative is great for a preschooler’s fine motor skills and provides a colorful and fun way to learn many different concepts. This set of free candy corn activities and printables includes the following activities:
- alphabet tracing
- counting 1-6
- counting 6-10
- fall tree
- jack o’ Lantern
The alphabet tracing activity can be used in several different ways, since the letters can be grouped to spell the child’s name, sight words or sentences.
The fall tree and the jack o’lantern are fun ways to practice fine motor skills. My kids were so engaged in the activities that they forgot they were playing with candy!
