rhyming dot pages - snail and pail example

Just print off the pages you’d like. Learners dot the pictures with dot paint on the page. As they do, they can name them {or you can.}

There are 20 free rhyming dot pages that include these rhyming pairs: knock-lock, clown-down, whale-tail, hen-ten, bees-cheese, net-vet, jeep-sheep, mane-rain, shell-bell, car-star, top-pop, fog-frog, goat-boat, bone-phone, knee-key, sick-kick, snail-pail {seen in these images} gum-thumb, pig-big, & cake-snake. The pages come in color AND blackline!

cover rhyming dot pages with transparent counters

Learners can use transparent counters instead of dotting them. This makes the pages reusable. Or learners can use Power Magnets, pom-poms with tweezers, or round stickers to cover the rhyming words dot pages. All of these ideas also help build fine motor skills needed for writing, too!

As an extension, try to think of other rhyming words. You could even make it a game you play together.
