Yesterday, I posted a little about my experience at the Teach Them Diligently Conference in Nashville. It was there that I met Tim Ostermeyer of Fun Adventure Wildlife Books in the vendor hall. Every time I walked by his booth, he had kids all around! And with good reason. His books are so attractive to kids. I was honored that he blessed our family with two of his books: Snuggles’ Japanese Alps Adventures and Eagan’s Alaskan Adventures.
His books are amazing in so many ways, but here are our favorites:
- The photographs are absolutely amazing…breath-taking really. And with good reason. Tim is a Master Photographer, with lots of photography awards under his belt.
- The books are filled with “Did you know” facts about animals, like did you know a Bald Eagle has over 7,000 feathers?
- The books have cute story lines, which teaching animal facts along the way
- Each book has a theme or moral that kids can learn such as confidence, planning, or appreciating differences.
- Scripture is integrated naturally throughout the text. For example, on the page with the fawn, Tim included this verse, “As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God.” {Psalms 42:1}
- The books home with all three of my readers. My 7 year old loved the animal facts, my 4 year old enjoyed the storylines, and my 3 year old liked the pictures. It’s rare to find books that can appeal to multiple ages like that!
Would you like a chance to Eagan’s Alaskan Adventures?
You may enter through the Rafflecopter widget below. Please note that the only mandatory entry is a comment on this blog post. This giveaway ends on Friday, June 28. You can also check out more of Tim’s books on his website.
