This week, ALuv (1st grade) and I spent some time discussing the concept of love. Not our human imperfect love; but God’s love. Perfect love.
{The heart shape made the perfect graphic organizer for this activity! On one side, I wrote “Love is…” and on the other, “Love is not…”}
I read 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 aloud several times and together, we found examples of what love is and what love is not. He wrote down five examples for each side. As he wrote we talked about the meaning of these words, as he was unfamiliar with several of them (such as “boastful”).
I reminded him that we are incapable of loving others this way all of the time, but we serve a loving God who is Perfect Love! 🙂

Love this! We did it today with our three boys…
Wonderful. It truly is a good lesson to review any time of year and for any age, including motherhood!
