What is Copywork?

The purpose of copywork is to create a “perfect copy”, with neat handwriting, correct capitalization, punctuation, spacing, and spelling. {All good things, right?} To accomplish this, you pick a passage from a well-written text and asks your child to copy it, word-for-word.

This exposes your child to great literature plus gives them practice with the mechanics of writing. I honestly can’t think of any greater literature than the Bible, can you? That’s why I’m excited to share my Valentine copywork pages using Scripture verses and passages about love.

Use these pages for learners to practice their handwriting via God’s Word! Only six verses or passages are featured in this pack, but I would highly encourage you to work with your learners to find more verses or passages about love.

Encourage your learners to use their best handwriting with these pages. They can write in print, slant, or even cursive handwriting, depending on the age and development of the kids you have or teach.
