Saturday’s Savorings: The “Don’t Judge Me” Edition

By thisreadingmama 4 Comments

So, I’m being VERY transparent here…so DON’T JUDGE ME.  We went to the library this week.  Yes, the public library.  What’s so strange about that, you might ask?

We hadn’t been…in 6 months!  Yes, you read correctly.  6 months!  This Reading Mama, the one who focuses on literacy, did not take her kids to the public library for 6 whole months.  There; I said it.  I feel much better. 🙂

Can you tell my kids enjoyed the trip??  They have been engrossed in these library books all week like sharks on fresh bait.  My poor babies.

Now, if I can only remember to return all the books and DVD’s on time.  That’s another story yet to be told!

This post linked to Moments to Remember.

Don’t feel guilty… I have huge fines at the library and I don’t want to face our librarian to pay them… so I have been buying books at thrift stores instead of going to the library… I should probably just grow a spine and head there though. 🙂

Oh you sound JUST like me! I adore the library and the kids do too, I just cannot remember to bring the books back on time. We always renew the max # of times and then I make my husband take them back! 😉
