Rhyming Worksheets ~ Dot the Rhyme
Just like our all our printable dot paint activities, add dot markers to these rhyming worksheets and you’ve added a touch of fun!
These rhyming pages are not meant to teach kids to rhyme {as worksheets can’t teach}, they are meant to give learners practice listening for rhyming words.
On each row, learners say the featured picture, then pair it with each picture/word to see which one rhymes. Example from the first row in the image above: snail-mail, snail-roll, snail-chain. On each row, I tried to make it a little tricky by offering pictures that either started with the same sounds or had a similar vowel sound.
If you don’t have dot markers, grab markers or crayons and have learners circle the rhyming picture on each row.
Or grab a favorite manipulative, like counters or even pennies, and cover the correct picture. Covering the rhyming word makes the worksheets re-usable, too!
