Reading the Alphabet Letter V
Letter V with the sight word GO is our next lesson.
It features a Letter V emergent reader with many activities to accompany it.
We did not get to everything this week. We did some of our Spring PreK Pack and took a few days off for spring break.
But here are some photos of what we DID get to:
He still likes to trace the letters from Carisa’s Raising Rockstars Preschool Printables {her program is also free and works on some of the same pre-reading skills}.
I think he feels like he’s all grown up now that he has a “real” search, as he calls it. 🙂
This week, he asked to stamp his sight word. So, he did!
He was very eager again to write his number sentences for the “How Many Vultures in the Tree?” activity.
I just love that he told me NOT to help him, yet he forgot the = sign every time. But there was no way he was going to let me show him how to write it the conventional way and that’s okay.
He sorted the initial picture sound cards BY HIMSELF. I tried to make it a little more challenging by giving him 4 letters. He did very well!
Lastly, we did our V Book by pocket chart. This was a lot of work, but he stuck with it. It helped that MBug {almost 3 years old} was right there with us, threatening to jump in and do it if he stopped. 🙂
I just love my great helper! She had the pocket chart all to herself when NJoy was finished.

Becky, I can’t thank you enough for all of the time and hard work that you have put into creating the “Reading the Alphabet” curriculum as well as all of the other activities and lessons. It is nothing short of fantastic:) You have truly thought of everything:) I appreciate the knowledge that you so willingly share post after post. Be encouraged that, because of what you do, children are learning to read and Mama’s are not having to go crazy in trying to create lessons. It’s all done!!!! Thank You:) Many blessings to you and family.
You are so very welcome! 🙂
I’m back I used these printable before with my son 5 years ago and now ready to re -download the printables. Great resource!
