Bible Trivia Game: Name Two…

Over the last year, we’ve transtitioned our family to a new church. The church is only three years old and is MUCH smaller than our family has gone to for the last 20 years. Personally, I’ve enjoyed seeing our kids get a chance to serve instead of just being consumers.

My husband and I serve in the middle school area. As of right now, we have two students…one being our daughter! This past week, the other child was out of town, so we hesitated in moving on with our study of the Tabernacle without the other student.

So, I prayed about it and a simple Bible trivia game popped into my mind. I wanted to share it with you today in case you ever needed a Bible game to use in your Sunday School class or youth group. It’s called “Name Two…” 40 cards are included drawn from the entire Bible.

I’m sure you could come up with even more questions. {That’s why I’ve included blank cards you could write on. You could even have your learners come up with the questions on the blank cards!}

I printed the cards onto different colored cardstock, cut and folded each one, and placed them in a bag so we couldn’t see which card we were drawing.

When a card is drawn and read, encourage the person to answer the question AND also defend it from Scripture.

For example, “Name two of the Ten Commandments.” After the person names two of them, say, “Okay, now let’s find it in the Bible. Where would be find the ten commandments?”

This is a GREAT way to sneak in some work on using Bible Text Features {also a free download} if learners are unsure where to find it.

It’s also a great way to help them get to know where certain passages are in Scripture, which can be helpful when they have conversations with unbelievers or other believers who don’t know God’s Word.
