Multiplication & Division Fact Family Pack

Sometimes learners have a hard time understanding how multiplication and division are connected. They may know their multiplication facts, but don’t understand how that can help them to solve division problems.

Today, it’s fact families to the rescue!

multiplication and division fact family cards - color coded

Included in this FREE pack are math family cards for times 2 (x 2) all the way to times 12 (x 12). I recommend copying each number on a different color of paper. It may also help to laminate them to make them last longer.

math fact family houses for multiplication and division

Also included are fact family houses. I recommend copying them onto paper, then laminating them OR slipping them into a dry erase pocket. {These come in color and blackline.}

write the three numbers on the roof

To use these, learners grab a math fact family card and write the numbers on the roof of the house.

write the multiplication and division fact family number sentences

Learners then use the three numbers to write two multiplication problems and two division problems. Once they’re finished, learners erase the numbers, grab another card, and do it all over again. It’s that simple!
