I think I would use the spelling book the most. I have two emerging readers that I am homeschooling and we hope to be working on spelling soon.

I think I could use the Teaching Spelling book most. My first grader is in the end of the alphabetic spelling stage and about to enter the words within words stage. She is a pretty strong reader, if not very fluent. So, encoding words is frustrating her and her perfectionistic streak is making my eager young writer a reluctant one. I just picked up Words Their Way from the library and it’s fascinating but a bit overwhelming.
