I am so excited that I finally carved time out to create a place on my sidebar for my affiliates and sponsors {if you’re on a mobile device, you can view these affiliates and sponsors at the bottom}! I want to showcase each one and let you know a little more about them. {All of the images below are “clickable”.} Many of these links are affiliate links. You can read more about that in my dislosure policy.
Christian Clip Arts
Need high quality Christian clip art? Then visit Masaru at www.christiancliparts.net. Seriously. Masaru clip art is nothing short of a-ma-zing! God has truly gifted this man. All of his clip art is free. And if you don’t see the clip art you need, you can request to sponsor him as he creates it for you! I am currently using his clip art in my Phonics by The Book curriculum and we are also working on a Bible Picture E-Book Series. Our first: Who is my Neighbor? and our second: Jonah and the Big Fish.
HearthSong
HearthSong has been around for years and their toys are wonderful. Many of them require no batteries and are made to last, which I like! We have several of their products and will continue to buy from them. So far, I have reviewed two of their toys: Wooden Marble Run Around and the Color Me Bunny!
Spelling Mechanics Homeschool Word Study
If you’ve followed this blog for any length of time, you know that I love word study! I studied under Dr. Francine Johnston {one of the co-authors of Words Their Way} while getting my M.Ed. and devoured any book or resource she had to offer. Now, that I’m homeschooling, I am asked quite often if there’s a word study program specifically designed for homeschoolers…and there is! Spelling Mechanics Homeschool Word Study. Ann is amazing and she is quite accessible for help. She announces free offers and sales on her Facebook page, so follow along. Hop on over to visit Ann and be sure to tell her This Reading Mama sent you.
Learning Resources
If you’re a teacher of any kind, I don’t need to say much more about Learning Resources. Their teaching materials are top-notch and have been used by me as a classroom teacher, reading tutor, and now as a homeschooling mama. You can read about my first review with them here. And in June, I’ll be reviewing and giving away these Sound Boxes, so be sure to follow This Reading Mama {links at the bottom of post} so you can have a chance to win!

I Can Teach My Child to Read {ebook}
Jenae of I Can Teach My Child has written a wonderful e-book called I Can Teach My Child to Read!. I love how she builds the foundation on solid reading research for parents to be successful in teaching their young readers. I would also recommend this book to parents of struggling readers!

Reading the Easy Way {sight word program}
Beth of www.123homeschool4me.com has developed a cute sight word program for beginning readers based on learning games called Reading the Easy Way. After teaching both her children and seeing the wonderful results, she has decided to share it with other teachers. She has kept the cost affordable at only $10. You can read my review of her program here. {We’ll be using it next year with NJoy.} PS- She also has developed Reading the Easy Way 2, which introduces the next level of sight words in a fun way.
