0-30 Number Line Activities Pack
Earlier this school year, I discovered that my first grader was confused by the number concepts of before and between. It was time to back up a bit and work on a few number sense vocabulary words before we moved on to other number concepts.

I didn’t want to have to find the classroom-size number line out of our attic and put it up. Plus I wanted something smaller she could have at her desk. So I quickly made up a small number line for numbers 0-30. This way, she could practice these basic number line skills.
She helped me tape the three pieces together and we hung it up the wall beside her desk so she could refer to it often. Just so you have a frame of reference, it measures 29 inches across.

In the 0-30 number line activities pack, I’ve included:
- Small Number Lines – two versions that learners can cut and connect (color)
- Small Number Lines – cut and connect (blackline)
- Hands-on Activities with the Number Line & Cards
- Number Cards (I recommend printing them onto colored cardstock paper)
- No Prep Number Concept Worksheets (for before, after, & between)
Why only numbers 0-30?
Even though my first grader can count and recognize numbers well beyond 30, I wanted to focus solely on the vocabulary and number concepts of before, after, and between. Using just numbers 0-30 allowed her to expend her energy on learning these concepts.
