Visualize While Reading by Making a Movie In Your Head

make a movie in your head

In our Struggling Reader series, The Measured Mom and I are sharing quick and easy tips that you can do right at home. Besides fluency, another area of high concern is often comprehension. I love the simple idea The Measured Mom shares this week of visualizing while reading by making a movie in your head. Sometimes, this is referred to as making mental images.

    Hi,
my name is Jeanne, I am originally from Canada, and I am working in Nepal with children here, teaching them English. I am working with both grades 1 and 3. I am part of a video school which is teaching children of Nepal, and we are needing resources. I love your material. Because the English program needs a lot of pictures due to the lack of English here, I was wondering if I could use your reading and phonics material to teach the children here. I am also a child of the King, and was wondering if it is possible to get in contact with you, to ask you more questions if necessary.
I realize this is your decision, and whatever you say, I will trust that it is God’s will. Thank you for your stand!
    In Christ,
    Jeanne in Nepal
