While in the process of updating my Reading the Alphabet Bundle Pack for my preschooler to use, I added in my own letter tracing pages.
Instead of dots or stars to show where the child is supposed to start writing, I placed images that start with that letter of the alphabet. You can find them in my updated Reading the Alphabet bundle pack, but I’m offering them for FREE to all of my newsletter subscribers!

NOTE: Once subscribed, an email will be sent to your inbox. The email contains the link and password to the subscriber freebie page where you’ll find this and LOADS MORE subscriber resources!
If you are already a newsletter subscriber, hop over to my subscriber freebie page and enter the password, which can always be found at the bottom of your most current newsletter.

The letters are large for preschoolers, who need big spaces to write their letters, so the space is developmentally appropriate for them. I have included BOTH upper and lower case.
I personally believe that uppercase is developmentally easier for preschoolers, but follow what your child likes and go with it. MBug {age 4} likes to try both uppercase and lowercase now and enjoys learning to write her letters, as you can see on our Instagram post.
How to Use the Letter Tracing Sheets
- Slip into a plastic sleeve protector or laminate to re-use over and over with a dry erase marker.
- As your child writes her letters, start on the picture (a picture key is included at the bottom of each page), saying the name of the object to reinforce letter sounds at the same time!
- These can be used as a stand alone tracing activity as you work on letter and their sounds or in conjunction with Reading the Alphabet (lesson correlations are at the bottom of each letter page).

I subscribed with my email, and had no link in the confirmation email to get the letter writing/sound freebie offered starting May 31, no matter how far I scrolled down. Please help!
If you just subscribed today, you won’t see it in the confirmation email. When tomorrow’s post goes out via email, it will be on the bottom of that post. 🙂
These look absolutely amazing, Becky!! I can’t wait to print them out for my little guy 🙂
Thank you! I’m glad he’ll be able to use them, too!
I signed up for an email subscription. I noticed you’ve posted since I signed up, but haven’t received email notification/link to handwriting freebie. Have I missed a step? I received the confirmation email.
I have subscribed to your e-mail for some time now, but do not seem to know the trick for receiving the free items. Can you help me? I would love to receive the letter tracing sheets, but cannot seem to figure it out. Thanks.
This looks terrific! I am going to use it as I teach my daughter (who has some learning challenges) her letter-sound associations this year. 🙂 Should make it more fun and be a wonderful visual learning tool for her. Thanks!!
You’re very welcome! I hope your daughter enjoys!
