In honor of Dr. Seuss’ upcoming birthday, I put together a few activities for NJoy to use to work on rhyming. Instead of waiting until we’re finished with them, I thought I’d go ahead and share!
I packaged them all together in ONE DOWNLOAD, but here are the rhyming activities in the download:
1. A-Rhyming We Will Go: song/pocket chart activity-download also has pictures to fill in the rhymes
2. Cut and Paste Rhyming: Cut, paste & identify the rhyming pictures (5 different mats: CAT, BELL, SHIP, TOP, & BUG)
(cut & glue the pictures below to the CAT mat above)
3. Clip a Rhyme: Use a clothespin to clip the picture that rhymes
4. Hat on a Cat (a cut & paste emergent reader): This download has two versions:
one for children just learning to rhyme and
one for children who are ready for some independent work.
Both versions have pictures to cut and paste in the book.
5. That’s Not a Rhyme!: Can you find the picture that does not rhyme? (2 pages)
6. Draw a Line to the Rhyme
7. Extra Rhyming Pictures: Use your creativity to plan out your own fun rhyming activities with these picture cards.

For some reason I cannot get the download to work…is there any other way to get it from you? Thanks in advance!
I sent you an email. Let me know if you didn’t get it.
It’s not working for me either!
Thank you,
Amy
Do you have the newest version of Adobe reader for PDFs? I checked the link and it does work. Let me know if that helps.
