NO PREP Math Games

Ready for some no prep math games? You’re in the right spot!

Three summers ago, I shared some no prep phonics games. So this summer, I figured it was about time to share some no prep math games!

Although I mostly share literacy printables and activities, we have a few math printables, too. Be sure to check them out if you are looking for more.

No Prep Math Games

These simple games are all played the same way, but practice different math skills. Because they’re all played the same, it keeps from re-explaining how to play each time.

The TEN FREE packs in this series will include no prep games for addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, place value, money, telling time, number bonds, shapes, and fractions.

Each set will have a variety of levels within it, so you can better meet the needs of your learners. Woohoo!

roll a die to know which problem to solve

To play, learners roll a die. They find just one of the math problems that matches the die they rolled. {There’s two of each die on the board.} They solve that problem.

cover the no prep math games with counters

Then they cover the answer on the 5×5 grid with a counter. The answer is on the grid more than once but only one answer needs to be covered at a time.

Learners keep rolling, solving, and covering. Because the answer is on the grid more than once, it’s okay if they roll the same problem more than once. The goal is to cover five in a row on the grid.

put the no prep math games in a dry erase pocket and use a dry erase marker

Slipping them into a dry erase pocket makes the games reusable. Learners can solve the problems and cross them off with a dry erase marker.

use dot paint to dot the math games board

Learners can also use dot paint and dot the answers as they solve them. Of course, learners can’t use them again after they’ve dotted them. But if your learners are into dot paint, this adds an element of fun.
