More FREE Rain Printables!!

By thisreadingmama 11 Comments

Last week, I made a few printables to go with our rain/rainbow theme.  This week, I went ahead and made some more, as we are continuing the theme (adding in some letter u activities from Erica & Carisa).  I’m not sure we’ll use all of these, but I was in the mood to make some extras!  Enjoy!

The first two printables focus on PRINT AWARENESS (or concept of print) and can now be found for in my Updated and Expanded Rainy Day Pre-K/K Pack!

Rain Print Awareness

Rain on the Green Grass-Concept of Print (for use with pocket chart-all three photos are from the download)

Pocket chart sentences

with matching pictures (same picts as emergent reader below)

cut apart and match or re-created sentences

All of the activities you see above can now be found for FREE in my
Updated and Expanded Rainy Day Pre-K/K Pack!

EMERGENT READERS

Under the Umbrella (two versions on download)

Print off and read version

Cut & Paste blank version

cut & paste these animals on the pages

Rain on the Green Grass (download activity is similar to Snow emergent reader I adapted with 2 different versions) and can be found in my Rainy Day Pre-K/K Pack.

 Print & Read/Decorate

Read, Decorate & Compose 2nd verse

POETRY/FINGER PLAYS

It’s Raining!  It’s Pouring! Fingerplay (from my Christian Nursery Rhyme collection)

Up, Up Umbrella Poem

(Written on a beginning of 1st grade level)

Little Words-umbrellas (If you’re familiar with my Phonics by The Book curriculum, you’ll recognize this activity!)  Instructions are also on the download.

I hope you can find something you can use with your child or classroom if you’re in need of rain-themed printables! 🙂

Thanks, Ticia. They really aren’t hard to make. I just use Power Point. You could totally do it!

I love these (as always!). I love the Up Up Umbrella Poem and the Under the Umbrella Reader (I pinned them onto my Pinterest Board).

I had never thought to try Power Point to make printables, hmmm … I just use Word Documents and Paint (I am secretly hoping at some point my husband will pick up a Publishing Program). I will have to look into Power Point though. I hope you and your newest addition to your family are doing well!

Thanks, Jill! Yes, I’d love to get a Publishing Program as well. It would make life a little easier, but I’m trying to be content for now! 🙂

Maybe one day…but for now, I really enjoy blessing others by keeping them free. 🙂

    Everything looks great! I really wanted to get the emergent readers but the country I’m in now has just passed new censorship laws and I can’t access anything on 4shared ;;
