If you’ve following our 12 Days of Christmas Fun, you’ve seen that we had quite a few activities planned that just didn’t get done for one reason or another. Days 11 and 12 were our make-up days…except that days 11 & 12 happened all week long…with a little bit of school here and a little bit of school there…wherever I could squeeze it in! We even got the cousins involved one day! I also added in a few extra activities that I found on the web, but don’t tell my boys. 🙂
LETTER C
REVIEW OF C sound w/ my sound tub: car, camel, cat, comb, cone & cow.
Letter C Maze (I just love the way he’s holding the marker. Some days, it’s just not worth the fight!)
CHRISTMAS TREES
I got out my felt board and the boys (and MBug) had fun making a Christmas tree over and over again. A star for the top!
Mr. Willowby’s Christmas Tree Fun
tr worksheet…a review of a blend! (from her K pack)
Color the tree by number: While ALuv colored with his new set of crayons, NJoy did an awesome job coloring by the number…as long I as I sat right with him to keep him on task!
Decorating our Cone Christmas trees with stickers. This was a great review of some 3-D shapes for ALuv…cone and cylinder.
CANDY CANES
Candy Cane Patterns with Do-a-Dot Paint
NJoy really got into this Candy Cane Pattern Activity (with peppermints) game.
After ALuv worked on a couple, I started harder patterns for him that he had to continue.
COOKIES
Cookie Counting: NJoy placed a number on the cookie tray then put that many cookies on. Here he is counting to see how many he has so far.
For ALuv, I changed up the game to make it on his level. Here are the materials I changed:
- 2 copies of the cookie sheet
- I printed 2 sets of 1-10; except I only used the 5 from the 2nd set
- Recording sheet from Cookies for Santa-Making 10 from Teachers Pay Teachers
ALuv’s objective was to see how many different combos of numbers he could add to make ten. He placed a number (1-9) on the first cookie tray and put that many cookies on the tray. Then he placed the rest of the cookies on the second cookie tray, counted how many, and added the number to equal 10.
LETTER J
J sound tub: it contains a jaguar, jump rope, jingle bell, jack-o’lantern & jar w/ lid.
MISC. CHRISTMAS FUN
The big boys (ALuv and his older cousin) did the Christmas mosaics with do-a-dot paint like we did with our Thanksgiving mosaics. We used the candle, Christmas tree, and wreath pattern. The do-a-dot paint went on this blank template.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Great activities. I have pinned so I can look back in the new year. You have been busy!
It really helped to spread it all out. I am ready for the break, though!!! 🙂
