Before I started blogging, I searched the web for quite a while, trying to find blogs with a focus in teaching kids to read and in word study. One of the first blogs that popped up was Teach Mama. I read one of her word study posts. Then, I started reading more and more of her posts. I was impressed by how spot-on her techniques and teaching philosophies were, while her ideas and posts were practical and hands-on for parents to understand and implement at home.
