Today is DAY ONE and I am so excited to share with you an AWESOME 160-page ebook by Laura Candler called Graphic Organizers for Reading Comprehension.  This book is packed FULL of background information plus HANDS-ON, PRACTICAL help for teaching comprehension strategies…from fiction, to non-fiction, to poetry ALL ALIGNED WITH THE COMMON CORE!

Although the activities in the book are designed for older kids, all children benefit from having comprehension strategies modeled to them…no matter the age!

ALuv (1st grade) and I have used several of the charts included in the book, like this Informational Text Features Search {seen on the right}, to delve a little deeper into comprehension strategies.

    I am very familiar with this book. Laura is from my state of NC and I have met her, yet, don’t have this product. I teach 2nd grade and this book has been on my wishlist for quite awhile. Thanks for this offer!! It is a wonderful book that I have researched.
