We’re chugging right along with our letters of the week! Here’s a look at our Z fun.
Z Work
I introduced the Z Sound with my Z sound tub. It contains a zebra, zipper, a zoo sign, & zero.
Z pom-pom work-good for fine motor
Zipper D0-a-Dot from Carisa’s Z Tot Pack
Starfall. com’s Z show: He’s really getting good at the mouse!
Zebras & Other Animals
Black and White animals: He really enjoyed this one…anything with a glue stick and he’s good to go! I adapted the Black and White Animals Accordion (in the “Add-ons for Little Ones” section at the bottom).
Of course, MBug had to do it, too!
1-10 Zebra Counting and Matching Links
Roll a Zebra: I drew dice with dots on the left side so he could do this one more independently
We pulled out a bunch of our plastic animals and both boys enjoyed playing with those all week. Most of these were bought for $1 in Target’s bins.
Z Reading
These are the books I placed on MBug’s shelf for the week:
Goodnight Gorilla, Baby Noah World Animals, What Do you Say?, an animal book I got in Target’s $1 bin, & Put Me in the Zoo
Z Crafts
Color & glue black yarn on the “blank” zebra
After reading Put Me in the Zoo, he did this Do-a-Dot page
Extra Shots from the Week
NJoy LOVES this bug game! He begs to play it often. So after a hard day’s work, I let him get it out. It has a lot of pieces, so I have to remind him to keep all of them ON his desk!
Working the Animal Train ABC floor puzzle, including Z for Zebra
ALuv reading books to NJoy in our little book nook. I love it when NJoy sits still long enough to listen to ALuv read. Warms my heart.
NJoy said he needed a muscle shot, so here you go! 🙂
At the end of the week, we hung a zebra NJoy’s Picture Word Wall (cut out and colored from Erica’s Z Coloring Page)
Thank you for joining This Reading Mama on a literacy journey!
