FREE Apple Pack for Pre-K/K Learners
It’s apple time! I just love this time of year. How about you?
MBug {currently 3 years old} and NJoy {almost 5} have both been working through this apple pack already this past week. I have designed the activities so that if you have a toddler, preschooler, or even Kindergartner, you can use this pack. The activities in it are similar to Reading the Alphabet and all the other Pre-K/K packs I have created.
One question I get quite often is about the number page, so I thought I’d show you a snapshot of MBug doing it with a little explanation below.

- Cut apart the number cards. You can use 1-10 or 10-20.
- Lay them face down on your work surface. {MBug used the 1-10 page while NJoy did the Apple Sums page.}
- She turned one number card over at a time and identified the number.
- She then used our D0-a-Dot paint {we used only red, yellow, and green–apple colors!} and dotted the corresponding number on the page.
Once all the numbers are dotted, the activity is complete…or the child can use the Do-a-Dot paint to keep painting the picture!
5 Read Aloud Books about Apples:
1. Apples by Jacqueline Farmer
2. Ten Apples Up on Top by Dr. Seuss
3. Apples for Everyone by Jill Esbaum {I love this National Geographic KIDS series!}
4. Ten Red Apples by Pat Hutchins
5. The Seasons of Arnold’s Apple Tree by Gail Gibbons

Enjoy!

i love your work thanks alot 🙂
Thank you so much! Our family has just begun our homeschool journey and free (and adorable!) resources are a tremendous help to the budget.
Thank you!
You’re welcome!
Holy Smokes! I can’t believe all the resources you have created. My oldest (and so far only) child is 3 and we are starting homeschooling this year. I just bought your Reading the Alphabet curriculum. We are SO excited. Any tips on printing it all? Did you print it all at home or use a service? If so, can you recommend an inexpensive one?
Thank you so much for all of your free activities, books and ideas. I’ve loved finding quality and free things for our homeschool work! I used to teach but now that I’m home with my children, I’ve lost access to abundant resources for early readers. I really love that you have printable books that are appropriate and interesting for emergent readers. There are so few things available at libraries for true emergent readers with predictable language and good picture support. Your inclusion of high frequency words is wonderful. Please know how much your work and generosity are appreciated!! My kindergartener looks forward to new books from your website and she is reading with excitement and confidence.
Aw, you are very welcome. I love creating and helping others at the same time, so it’s a win-win. 😉
Love the apple activities! Thank you!!
