Saturday’s Sites: New Sites to Me

By thisreadingmama Leave a Comment

Here are a couple of blogs/sites that I’ve recently come across that have impressed me:

Mama Jenn is a homeschooling mama of 5 little ones and blogs in her “spare” time.  She also has a wonderful site called Homeschool Resource List where she posts free online resources for homeschoolers.  I’m sure some of these resources could also be used for the school teacher as well!  How she has time to do all of this while homeschooling 5 little ones is beyond me!

The name of this blog says it all: Relentlessly Fun, Deceptively Educational.  I just spoke at a local MOPS meeting this past week and the gist of my talk was showing how young children can be taught through play.  She has nailed this concept, even with her 1st grader!  I’ll let you be the judge for yourself.  Just check out her reading , spelling, & writing posts.  I have a lot to learn!

Thank you for joining This Reading Mama on a literacy journey!
