Reading the Alphabet: Assembling the Books

By thisreadingmama 1 Comment

I have had a couple of questions regarding how I put together my printable Reading the Alphabet books, so I thought I’d post a little tutorial with pictures. (These pictures are from the M book I just printed off- for Lesson 4.)

cover of printable bookPrint the first page on construction paper (you could also use colored cardstock) to add weight and color to the book.  The rest of the pages are printed on white copy paper.

cover of book cut outCut out all the pages, leaving the extra space on the left side of the paper (this is where the staples will go).

printable book assembledCut the pages apart on the horizontal line, assemble, and staple on the left margin.

back of printable bookHere’s a look at the back of the book.

Also, be sure to check out this behind the scenes post on our handwriting notebooks.
