HearthSong Color Me Bunny {Review and Giveaway}

MBug (currently 2.5) LOVES stuffed animals.  I seriously don’t know how the child sleeps some nights with all of the fluff in her bed.  And if you’ve followed along with This Reading Mama long enough, you know that she loves to color.  We still have to keep all markers put away. {Just this week, she adorned our dry erase marker with permanent marker…oh, lovely day!}

So, when I saw Color Me Bunny by HearthSong, I just knew it would be the right fit for her.  And it was!

This girl (and sometimes her older brother, when she would share) enjoyed coloring and coloring and coloring.  This little bunny has been outfitted with marker from head to toe multiple times.

After reading the instructions, I was a bit nervous that I wouldn’t be able to do this bunny justice {with 4 small children, high maintenance toys are a no-no in this house}.  I did alter caring for it just a bit.  Instead of washing it in a pillowcase, I just threw it into the washing machine with a load of towels each time.  At first, I was careful to wash it within 48 hours of coloring,

but I wasn’t as careful every time.  The marker didn’t come out as well, but it didn’t look bad.

Yep.  I’d say she likes her Color Me Bunny! 🙂

    I’d be worried that my kids wouldn’t stop at coloring the bunny! Although I’m sure they should understand it’s a special toy for coloring. They do love their stuffed toys, and they do love to color!

    That is takes different skills to color on a bunny and not a flat surface.

    I think the most fabulous feature of the Hearthsong Color Me Bunny is that it is washable and able to be played with over and over again. My two-year-old little lady loves to color and play with stuffed animals. At two years old she already has a whole closet full and still plays with every single one.
