Creative Ideas for Teaching at Home {and After School Link Up}

By thisreadingmama Leave a Comment

Last week, there was a huge array of learning activities at the After School Link Up. Several caught my eye and when I clicked on them, they were newer blogs to me. I’d love to share their creative ideas for teaching at home with you!

Pinay Homeschooler has such a great post on introducing standard measurement to your child. Be sure to visit to see all the hands-on ways her son practiced this skill.

Scrappy Bag Lady shares a great game to get your kid READING in a fun and authentic way! I love that she used controlled vocabulary to make sure the reading was on her child’s reading level. Love it!
