2 Quick Tips for extending writing:

  • Ask the child to use and or because to extend the sentence.
  • Ask, “What happened next?” to get the child to add more sentences onto his story.

    Stretching sentences is such a great writing skill all students need to understand. Very nice visual prompts! Carolyn

    Thank you! It will be nice to have something to refer to. Even if my kids come up with sentences to say aloud rather than actually writing some times, I think it will fun and productive.
