Window Wonderland: A Snowflake Fine Motor Craft

By thisreadingmama 7 Comments

A Snowflake Window Wonderland: A Fine Motor Craft with Poke Pages {This Reading Mama}A poke page is such a simple, yet fun way to work on those fine motor skills, even for the younger elementary-aged kids.  To create a poke page, place a piece of paper on top of carpet.  Take a toothpick or over-sized pushpin and poke holes all on it.  Place it on the window and watch it light up.

Just recently, I make a snowflake poke page as a part of my free Winter PreK Pack.  Once my preKinder started working on it, my older son (currently 7 years old) joined in and gave me a great idea…a Snowflake Window Wonderland!  I quickly whipped up a sheet with several different sized snowflakes (see FREE download below).

They all (including MBug, currently 2.5 years old) got to work poking along the snowflake outlines.  After they poked, I cut them out and we placed all the snowflakes on our window.  Our simple snowflake fine motor craft created a Snowflake “Window” Wonderland!

Want to try this, too?  Then download the FREE Snowflake Window Wonderland Poke Page Craft printable and enjoy your own window wonderland.

Great fine motor activity! We did last week during our “snow day”. I printed the snowflakes out on white cardstock and then after the boys did the push pin poking they cut out and painted with water colors. They look beautiful hanging on our windows. Thanks so much!!
